ST. CECILIA MUSIC CENTER FEATURES 49 MUSICAL ACTS AND 16 VISUAL ARTISTS DURING ARTPRIZE 2011
St. Cecilia Music Center is newest ArtPrize Exhibition Center in 2011. Live Performances will feature many popular local groups and international musicians
GRAND RAPIDS, MI (August 16, 2011) – St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan has been added as the newest Exhibition Center for ArtPrize with a focus on musical entries. ArtPrize is a unique art competition that began as an annual event in 2009 for the purpose of allowing people from all walks of life to view and vote on art that they liked and to allow artists from around the world to compete in the “voters choice” competition that awards over $450,000 in prize money, the largest art competition prize in the world.
St. Cecilia Music Center’s role will be to serve as a dedicated space for performance. Live performance will be featured at St. Cecilia Music Center the first week of ArtPrize from September 21 through 25 to compliment the 1st phase of voting. During the entire voting period, listening stations will be available (September 21-October 9) that feature musical ArtPrize entries. There will also be 16 visual art works displayed in St. Cecilia Music Center’s Terryberry Gallery. As an exhibition center St. Cecilia Music Center will sell ArtPrize merchandise and register people to vote for ArtPrize.
