Each gift to St. Cecilia Music Center, no matter what the amount, fosters music performance, education and appreciation, enriches individual lives, enhances our community and safeguards a treasured musical legacy to be handed down to future generations.

Here are just a few reasons your gift is so important:

World-renowned artists perform on our acoustically superb Royce Auditorium stage each year. Our acclaimed Jazz Series and Chamber Music Series present the best of the best. And next season, our Chamber Music Series brings Lincoln Center to Grand Rapids through an unprecedented partnership with the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society. But as with most musical organizations, ticket sales cover only 50% of costs. Generous community support through gifts and sponsorships enables us to maintain our consistently high level of programming and helps keep our ticket prices affordable for all.

More than 1,000 youth and adults of all backgrounds and walks of life experience the joy of music each year through our School of Music’s 14 different programs and approximately 25,000 hours of instruction. Although programs are tuition based, donor support guarantees that no student is ever denied access because of the inability to pay.

In response to public education budget cuts, we offer Strings to Schools, a FREE beginning string program at area public schools that provides instruction and instruments at no cost to the schools or students.

Our historic St. Cecilia building has been in continuous use since it opened in 1894, serving as a music center, a performance space for other area arts groups, music educators and students, and as a community venue for private functions.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

ANNUAL FUND
Generous support from individuals, corporations and foundations helps to ensure that St. Cecilia Music Center continues to provide the greater Grand Rapids community with wonderful music experiences that last a lifetime. More details.

Annual fund donors at the $1,500 and above level automatically become Maestro Society members and enjoy special benefits. More details.

TRIBUTES AND MEMORIALS
Annual fund welcomes tribute and memorial gifts. Whether you would like to mark a special occasion, honor a friend or memorialize a loved one, a gift to St. Cecilia Music Center is always appropriate. More details.

ENDOWMENT
Contributions to St. Cecilia Music Center’s endowment fund are essential to allowing us to continue “growing great music” for generations to come. More details.

NANCY MITCHELL POLTROCK PIANO FUND
Gifts to this fund help keep St. Cecilia’s piano collection – including the Steinway concert grand our visiting artists play – in perfect tune. More details.
